Jorge Luis Córdova Díaz , Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico

Jorge Luis Córdova Díaz was born in Manati, Puerto Rico on April 20, 1907.  Díaz graduated from The Catholic University of America in 1928 and received an LL B (law) degree from Harvard University in 1931.  He served as Resident Commissioner in the 91 and 92 Congresses in 1969-1973.   Díaz was deeply committed to alleviating drug abuse.  He introduced legislation to support programs for drug abuse prevention and rehabilitation of drug addicts. Jorge Luis Córdova Díaz nació en Manatí, Puerto Rico el 20 de abril de 1907. Díaz se graduó de la Universidad Católica de América en 1928 y recibió un LL B (derecho) el grado de la Universidad de Harvard en 1931. Se desempeñó como Comisionado Residente en los 91 y 92 Congresos en 1969-1973. Díaz estaba profundamente comprometido con aliviar el abuso de drogas. Él introdujo una legislación para apoyar los programas de prevención del abuso de drogas y la rehabilitación de drogadictos.
